Job Duties: | Reviews and assigns the correct and complete diagnosis code using the current ICD-9 CM diagnosis book, reviews the patient’s record for proper code of service rendered in the clinic on the prescription given by the physician, reviews and assigns the correct fee to services rendered to the patient in the billing form using the current fee schedule, balance cash receipts with actual cash and prepares cash flow control sheet, submit bills (encounter forms) promptly including void bills and copy of pending bills in numerical order, verifies patient information, pricing not covered benefits determination by receptionist before payment collection prior to patient discharge, reviews medical charts of patients with work injury and/or disability and ensure proper documentation and completion by the attending physician, assists receptionist in making patient appointment, patient processing and payment collection, ensures confidentiality of patient’s medical records, reviews prescription and prescribed medications prior to dispensing, provides supervision to subordinates, prepares staff work schedule based on the daily needs of the clinic, acts as resource person for subordinates, provides back up documents (report, referral, prior authorization, etc.) as required by third party payer, attached written explanation bills with other required back up, purchase of medical supplies and medications, assist in medication and prepares annual inventory, does inventory of medications in the pharmacy, performs other related duties as assigned. |

Qualification Requirements: | At least two years of experience in medical billing, electronic health records and practice partner record, must be familiar with medical terminology, ICD-9, coding of medical procedures and diagnosis, college graduate, English language skills-proficient in spoken, written and comprehension, must be certified pharmacy technician, must be proficient in computer skills, spreadsheet and general accounting skills. |

Comments: | The job opportunity is a full-time position beginning on October 01, 2021 to September 30, 2024. The employer will make deductions from employee’s paycheck as required by law. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: The employer guarantees to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for a cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker voluntary abandoned of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. |
