Job Title: | Hazmat Tank Truck Driver (LPG) |
Job Duties: | Load, Secures, Transport, delivers and unloads LPGas to and from specified destinations or to customers location. Inspect vehicle and notified the office of needed equipment, supplies, or routine maintenance. Have knowledge and comply with the proper methods of loading and unloading of LPGas to be transported; perform discharging of propane from isotainer tank to the facility bulk storage tank; read meter and record the level of percentage discharged; perform loading of LPGas from the facility storage tank to the Tank Truck; read meter and record quantity loaded. Check the condition of the vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working condition. Secure the vehicle when loading and unloading and monitor the entire loading and refilling. After loading and refilling activity is completed, secure the valve of the storage tank and tank truck. Read gauges or meters and record quantity loaded at customer’s tank. Prepare invoice, obtain receipts or signatures for delivered LPGas, and collect payment when required. Must keep the truck properly maintained and report vehicle defects, accidents, traffic violations, damage to the vehicle or spills of fuel during loading and unloading. At all times, drive the truck defensively and have knowledge and comply with all applicable federal, local laws, and company regulations to established safety operation of a hazardous cargo tank truck vehicle. Prepare and maintain records in accordance with Hazmat Motor Vehicle regulation, DOT regulations and company procedures such as shipping paper, driver vehicle inspection, monthly LPG hose inspection, and driver service due status report. Perform related duties as required. |

Qualification Requirements: | Prior experience as a hazmat tank truck driver in LPG industry is required; must have knowledge with proper methods of loading and unloading of LPGas to be transported from isotainer tank to storage tank; must have knowledge to operate LPG tank truck; must be able to identify and detect gas leak and able to respond to stop the leakage; must able to identify and recognize the presence of LPGas hazardous materials in an emergency; must able to understand the role of the first responder site security and control using the emergency response guidebook; knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations; must have general knowledge in LPG operation and proficient with hazardous materials safety handling; Graduate of High School or equivalent; training certificate in hazardous materials (LPG) and dangerous goods is required; Commercial drivers health certificate is required; must possess a current and valid CNMI Driver’s License and not be disqualified to operate a motor vehicle; and police clearance is required. Updated police clearance is applied both to US workers and CW-1 workers. Must have a minimum 12 months of experience as a Hazmat Tank Truck Driver. |
