| Job Duties: | Prepare financial information for senior management, examine and analyze data and various reports. Recommend, develop, and implement procedures and ensure their compliance with established internal controls. Review taxes/tax returns and other reports to various government agencies, record all transactions to the general ledger, maintain books of accounts, prepare bank recons, and ensure accuracy, completeness and conformity to reporting and procedural standards. Responsible for supervising the daily activities and operations of the accounting department- accounting, billing, collection, and payroll. Prepare forms and manuals for accounting personnel use, and direct accounting staff work activities. Review operations to ascertain accounting needs and to recommend, develop, or maintain solutions to business and accounting problems. Advise management about issues such as resource utilization, or tax strategies, as needed. Assist the internal and external auditors on their audits and ensure implementations of agreed upon recommendations. The position will report to the General Manager and Asst. Manager and coordinate with other department heads on decision-making related to accounting. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Each applying applicant (U.S. citizens & CW-1 individuals) must have a bachelor's degree in the field of Accounting, and must provide a copy of the diploma to the interviewer (who in the case is the Managing Director of Saipan Stevedore Company Inc.) Must have a 48-month experience in the field of Accountancy. Must have standard communication skills, be able to use accounting programs, and Microsoft office programs. (The accounting program that is used at Saipan Stevedore Company Inc. is FoxPro) .All individuals who are approved, and have all the requirements for the position will then be placed under a 3 month probationary period, in where they will be trained by the existing accounting staff, and have their work closely monitored by the General Manager. The said probationary period will be paid of the said rate of $14.85 per hour, at the frequency of bi-weekly pay. | Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 01, 2021 to September 30, 2022. The place of employment will be at Saipan Stevedore Company Inc. building, Lower Base, Commercial Port, Puerto Rico, Saipan, CNMI MP. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside within the area of the place of employment to perform the services or labor as advertised. In adherence to The Three-Fourths Guarantee under 20CFR 655.423 (f) the employer will offer employment for a total number of work hours to equal at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. In adherence to Transportation and Subsistence under 20CFR 655.423 (j)(1) if the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the workers transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers the reasonable cost of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work. Employer will guarantee to provide all tools and equipment needed for the duties assigned. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA.
