| Job Duties: | Under the command of the Ship Master, the chief engineer is responsible for all engines, machinery, mechanical propulsion on board. 1. Be responsible for the operation and maintenance of as well as the repairs to the ferry's main and auxiliary engines, steering gear, windless, refrigerating plants, deck machineries & electrical equipment etc. 2. Take responsibilities of keeping serious watches of the engine in good working condition. 3. Ensure that the ship's safety equipment of various kinds, such as appliances for extinguishing fire, emergency lock-up devices, safety rafts, fire alarms, indicator lamps etc. 4. Supervise the consumption of fuels, lubricants; make requisitions for stores, spares, tool etc. 5. Keep all items in safe custody, check up on them and make reports on their consumption every day. 6. Take charge of the vessel's planned maintenance system. 7. Check up the insulation and resistance of all electrical equipment at regular intervals. 8. Examine the condition of all safety lights, alarms, emergency generator regularly and all electrical appliance. 9. Keep all technical data and be responsible for the requisition for electrical materials. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Special skills: considerable knowledge of operation and maintenance of marine engines, transmissions and propelling machinery; knowledge of contracts relevant to ferry maintenance and repairs; knowledge of marine motors; License: 1.Seafarer Identification Record Book and license endorsements 2. Certificate of competency as chief engineer in accordance with STCW. 3. Management level: Approved training in passenger safety, cargo safety and hull integrity in accordance with STCW code A-V/2, paragraph 4. Approved training in crisis management and human behavior as stated in STCW Code section A-V/2, paragraph 5. 4. Valid First Aid/CPR Certification, and/or ability to obtain and maintain 5. Minimum 2 years work experience as chief engineer. 6. High school diploma or equivalent. 7. Must fit for duty. 8.Competence in administration and used of planned maintenance systems. 9.Fluency in written and spoken English. All of the above requirements are required for both U.S. and foreign workers |

| Comments: | 1)Employment duration & location: This job opportunity is for a temporary, full time position on shift basis. Work will be performed in the roll on and roll off passenger ship Sand Diamond between Tinian and Saipan without travel requirements. 2) Work hours: Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment approx. 40 hours per week. Normal work hours from 07:00am to 13:00pm. Actual shift schedule shall follow company's crew roster and ferry's operation schedule from Monday to Sunday,3) Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. 4) Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker hired completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers' reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment.
