Job Title: Translator
Job Duties: Follow ethical codes that protect the confidentiality of information. Translate messages simultaneously or consecutively into specified languages, orally or by using hand signs, maintaining message content, context, and style as much as possible. Listen to speakers' statements to determine meanings and to prepare translations, using electronic listening systems as necessary. Compile terminology and information to be used in translations, including technical terms such as those for legal or medical material. Read written materials, such as legal documents, scientific works, or news reports, and rewrite material into specified languages.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Applicant must have at least 48 months of work experience as a translator. Must know how to speak Russian Language. Experience with translating in English and Russian in engineering, construction and solid waste management fields. Demonstrated knowledge of engineering and construction terminology. Experience with translating technical documentation namely method statements, manuals, specifications and procedures. Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills are a must. Applicant must be hardworking, able to multi task and work even under pressure. Must be able to maintain cooperative attitude under stressful circumstances. Applicant must be willing to work flexible time, weekends and holidays when necessary. Applicant must be able to drive and have a valid drivers license.

This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position for one (1) Translator. The work schedule will be from Monday to Saturday, from 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM but only until 3:00 PM on Saturdays. As required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE, The worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. As required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(l), Employer will provide TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE to the worker while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment or abandonment of employment.
