Job Duties: | Provide customer service by greeting and assisting customers and responding to customer inquiries and complaints. Direct and supervise employees engaged in sales, inventory-taking, reconciling cash receipts, or in performing services for customers. Monitor sales activities to ensure that customers receive satisfactory service and quality goods. Inventory stock and reorder when inventory drops to a specified level. Instruct staff on how to handle difficult and complicated sales. Hire, train, and evaluate personnel, promoting or firing workers when appropriate. Assign employees to specific duties. Enforce safety, health, and security rules. Examine merchandise to ensure that it is correctly priced and displayed and that it functions as advertised. Plan budgets and authorize payments and merchandise returns. Plan and prepare work schedules and keep records of employees' work schedules and time cards. Review inventory and sales records to prepare reports. Examine products purchased for resale or received for storage to assess the condition of each product or item. Establish and implement policies, goals, objectives, and procedures for the store. Confer with company officials to develop methods and procedures to increase sales, expand markets, and promote business. Estimate consumer demand and determine the types and amounts of goods to be sold. Formulate pricing policies for merchandise, according to profitability requirements. Establish credit policies and operating procedures. Keep records of purchases, sales, and requisitions. Plan and coordinate advertising campaigns and sales promotions and prepare merchandise displays and advertising copy. Appraise jewelry and distinguish fashion from authentic articles. Perform basic jewelry maintenance such as cleaning, polishing and resizing when necessary. Determine appraised values of diamonds and other gemstones based on price guides, market fluctuations, and stone grades and rarity. Grade stones based on their color, perfection, and quality of cut. Examine gemstone surfaces and internal structures to evaluate genuineness, quality, and value. Clean and polish metal items and jewelry pieces, using jewelers' tools, polishing wheels, and chemical baths. Perform work activities of subordinates, such as cleaning and organizing shelves and displays and selling merchandise when necessary. |

Qualification Requirements: | There are no minimum education requirements but the applicant must have at least 12 months of solid experience as a Jewelry Store Supervisor. ABILITY TO PERFORM BASIC JEWELRY MAINTENANCE SUCH AS CLEANING, POLISHING OR RESIZING. ABILITY TO DISTINGUISH AUTHENTIC JEWELRY and ABILITY TO RECOGNIZE A GEMSTONE'S VARIETY, IDENTIFY, GRADE AND EVALUATE GEMS DETERMINING WHETHER IT IS NATURAL OR SYNTHETIC AND HOW MUCH IT IS WORTH. MUST BE HONEST, DEPENDABLE AND TRUSTWORTHY, CAN WORK DILIGENTLY AND INDEPENDENTLY WITH LEAST SUPERVISION. MUST BE PERSONABLE AND HAVE CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS. MUST BE ABLE TO MULTI TASK AND WORK UNDER PRESSURE. MUST BE ABLE TO MAINTAIN COOPERATIVE ATTITUDE UNDER STRESSFUL CIRCUMSTANCES. |

This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position for one (1) Jewelry Store Supervisor. The work schedule will be from Thursday to Tuesday, between 11:00 AM to 8:00 PM. 6 hours per day on weekdays and 8 hours per day on weekends. As required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE, The worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. As required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(l), Employer will provide TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE to the worker while traveling from the worker's origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment or abandonment of employment. |
