Job Title: SHIPPING, RECEIVING AND TRAFFIC CLERK
Job Duties: Examine shipment contents and compare with records, such as manifests, invoices, or orders, to verify accuracy. Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock. Prepare documents, such as work orders, bills of lading, or shipping orders, to route materials. Pack, seal, label, or affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using hand tools, power tools, or postage meter. Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, damages, or discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, or record keeping purposes. Confer or correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, or non conformance to specifications. Deliver or route materials to departments using hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins. Contact carrier representatives to make arrangements or to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials. Determine shipping methods, routes, or rates for materials to be shipped. Compute amounts, such as space available, shipping, storage, or demurrage charges, using computer or price list. Compare shipping routes or methods to determine which have the least environmental impact.

Qualification Requirements: Job require 3 months on the job training and 6 months work experience. Should be familiar with computers and have a basic math skills. Should be organized and able to work well under pressure. Should be able to understand and adhere to oral or written instructions. May apply physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body.

Comments: (1)EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position, commencing on October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021 (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment at least thirty five (40) hours per week. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
