Job Title: | TANKER TRUCK MECHANIC (LPG EQUIPMENT) |
Job Duties: | Perform routine maintenance and repair duties involving repair of LPG truck mechanical equipment including internal valves, pumps, remote shutdown, liquid metering system, hose reels, emergency relief valve, and pipings. Inspect, diagnose and locate mechanical difficulties of LPG tank truck, hose, and metering system for accuracy of LPG liquid meter and free of leaks. Maintain pneumatic actuator for emergency shutdown. Layout, repair, install and replace gauge, valves, pressure regulators and related equipment. Inspect and determine repair of tire of all LPG Tank truck. Perform safety inspections on all LPG trucks and ensure repair has been completed before the vehicle leaves the premises. Maintain inventory of equipment and LPG supplies and accessories as necessary. Regular inspections of LPG storage tanks to ensure safety and continuity of LPG supply. Perform LPG line installation at customer’s location and assist customer’s inquiry. Perform monthly testing of safety equipments such as fire pump, generator, and all emergency shutdown switches. Secure all valves and pump switches to make sure all are off before leaving the premises. Coordinate route and delivery schedule with tank truck drivers. Respond to field emergencies such as customers request for equipment or hose leaks. Perform inbound isotainer clearance. Perform related duties as required. |

Qualification Requirements: | Prior experience as Tank Truck Mechanic (LPG Equipment) in LPG industry is required; has the ability to read and understand various manuals for the purchase of LPG accessories, parts, equipment needed; must have general knowledge in LPG operation and proficient with hazardous materials safety handling; must have knowledge in installation of LP Gas line piping and must be able to perform leak test. Knowledge of all applicable DOT and Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, and regulations from the Fire Department related to safety of LPG line installation; graduate of high school or equivalent; updated training certificate in hazardous materials (LPGas) and dangerous goods is required; commercial driver’s health certificate clearance is required; must possess a current and valid CNMI Driver’s License; and police/court clearance is required; updated police clearance is applied both US workers and CW-1 workers; 24 months of experience as a tanker truck mechanic (LPG Equipment) is required. |
