Job Title: Maintenance Worker
Job Duties: The job duties of the Maintenance Worker are to maintain and repair the buildings and equipment of Triple J Saipan's hotel, office buildings, numerous restaurants, bakery, grocery store, car dealership, warehouses, and three lo-income housing developments. This includes the following duties: Perform various repair and maintenance works such as plumbing, carpentry, electrical, masonry,maintenance & other building maintenance tasks. Maintain and repair buildings’ interior and exterior structure, to include roofs, partitions, windows, doors, floors, woodwork, plaster, or other parts of buildings. Install, test, maintain, and repair building equipment or machinery. Perform preventive maintenance to ensure that equipment and machines continue to run smoothly, building systems operate efficiently, and the physical condition of buildings does not deteriorate. Install pipe or plumbing assemblies, fittings, valves, appliances such as water heaters, or fixtures such as sink or toilets. Install electrical fixtures, switched and wiring and perform routine repairs to the electrical and air conditioning systems. Operate test equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. Repair or replace defective equipment parts, using hand tools and power tools, and properly reassemble the equipment. Paint internal or external parts of building structures. Fabricate or repair counters, benches, partitions, or other external minor wooden structures, such as sheds or outbuildings. Train or manage other maintenance personnel or subcontracted employees. Determine materials needed to repair machinery, equipment, or building structures. Prepare reports of work performed and materials used or purchased. Transport tools, materials and supplies to work site, and return to storage. Perform general cleaning of buildings or properties after repair, installation, or building work.

Qualification Requirements: Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Must have at least 12 months work experience.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 12 months work experience. Must be a High School graduate. Work days will be Monday-Friday, and work hours will be from 8am-12pm and 1pm to 5pm. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in it's extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
