Job Title: | Automotive Mechanic (Radiator) |
Job Duties: | - Repairs cooling systems and fuel tanks in automobiles, buses, trucks, and other automotive vehicles: Pumps water or compressed air through radiator to test it for obstructions or leaks. - Flushes radiator with cleaning compound to remove obstructions, such as rust or mineral deposits. - Removes radiator core from automobile and cleans it, using rods or boiling water and solvent, or combination of boil out and rod out. - Solders leaks in core or tanks, using soldering iron or acetylene torch. - Disassembles, repairs, or replaces defective water pump. - Replaces faulty thermostats and leaky head gaskets. - Installs new cores, hoses, and pumps. - Cleans, tests, and repairs fuel tanks. - Test drive vehicles, and test components and systems, using equipment such as infrared engine analyzers, compression gauges, and computerized diagnostic devices. - Examine vehicles to determine extent of damage or malfunctions. - Repair, reline, replace, and adjust brakes. - Follow checklists to ensure all important parts are examined, including belts, hoses, steering systems, spark plugs, brake and fuel systems, wheel bearings, and other potentially troublesome areas. - Confer with customers to obtain descriptions of vehicle problems, and to discuss work to be performed and future repair requirements. - Perform routine and scheduled maintenance services such as oil changes, lubrications, and tune-ups. - Repair and service air conditioning, heating, engine-cooling, and electrical systems. - Test and adjust repaired systems to meet manufacturers' performance specifications. - Review work orders and discuss work with supervisors. - Tear down, repair, and rebuild faulty assemblies such as power systems, steering systems, and linkages. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. The primary place of work is the company’s auto radiator repair shop, Grace Corporation on Langse Street, Susupe, Saipan. The regular work hours will be 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break at 12:00 PM. * Three-Fourths Guarantee: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. * Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. *Daily Transportation: If the worker needs daily transportation to and from worksites, worker will be provided with daily transportation to and from worksites in compliance with all applicable Federal and Commonwealth laws and regulations. * Overtime Available: Overtime hours will be available to the worker under this job offer and payable for every hour worked at the rate disclosed in this announcement. * Employer-Provided Tools and Equipment: Worker will be provided, without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the duties assigned. * Board, Lodging, or Other Facilities: If the employee needs assistance in securing board, lodging or other facilities, the employer will assist worker in securing the board, lodging, or other facilities that the employee needs, at reasonable cost to the employee.
