Job Title: | Maintenance and Repair Workers, General |
Job Duties: | Repair and maintain the school buildings and classrooms. Do the trouble shooting, repairing and annual cleaning of split type air conditioning units by using manifold gauges, digital multi tester, amber meter and vacuum pump. Do the trouble shooting and repairing of refrigerators by replacing heater, relay, timer or refrigerant charging by using manifold gauges and multi tester. Do the trouble shooting of water heater and electric stove and oven by using digital multi tester. Do the preventive maintenance for the two units 50 KVA generator by changing oil and replacing air, oil and fuel filters and doing prime before starting the generator. Install and replace light fixture, ballast, LED lights, light switch, and receptacle outlet by using multi tester and ampere meter tester. Maintain silent knight fire alarm and diagnose problem on siren and strobe light sensors by using digital multi tester. Repair and maintain water pumps and plumbing by installing and replacing faucets, commodes, shower head, float valves, broken pipes, sinks, drain pipes and p-traps by using digital multi tester. Mix concrete to patch walls and ceilings by using trowels, and replace ceramic or vinyl tiles. Replace doors, door knobs and hinges by using hand tools. |

Qualification Requirements: | Must have at least two years work experience as Building Maintenance and Repair Worker, General. Must be certified Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Mechanic. Can install, inspect, troubleshoot, calibrate, and repair minor electrical problem, apparatus, and electrical equipment of school facilities. Must have refrigeration certificates and must have some college or high school graduate. Must have telephone for 24 hour on-call emergencies. Upon Pre-Employment, Police Clearance and Proof of Qualifications may be required. |

Comments: | Three-Fourths Guarantee: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
