Job Title: Accountant
Job Duties: Examine and analyze financial statements to ensure the accuracy and in compliance with laws and regulations. Compute taxes owed, prepare tax returns, and ensure that taxes are paid properly and on time. Inspect account books and accounting system for efficiency and use of accepted accounting procedures. Organize and maintain financial records. Assess financial operations and make best-practices recommendations to management. Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits. Prepare annual budget and periodic reports to compare budgeted costs to actual costs. Process payroll for salaried and hourly employees on a bi-weekly basis. Reconcile and analyze bank accounts and general ledger accounts on a monthly basis or as needed to ensure accurate balance. Assist the external auditor in the annual budget and provide financial statements, schedules, and other documents needed for the audit. Maintain and update accounts receivable and do follow-ups on collections. Oversee the deposit of all money to the fund of the school.

Qualification Requirements: Must hold a Bachelor's degree major in Accounting or a Related Field. Must have at least two years work experience as Accountant. Must have a thorough knowledge and understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and strong understanding of accounting theory. Advanced experience and knowledge of major accounting software such as latest version of QuickBooks. Advanced experience in MS Excel and MS Word. Strong analytical and accounting skills, and excellent in verbal and written communication. Ability to work independently and take on new tasks with high level of difficulty with minimal guidance from school Principal/Superintendent. Highly detail oriented and organized in work and ability to meet deadlines.

Comments: Three-Fourths Guarantee: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
