Job Title: Restaurant Supervisor
Job Duties: Directly supervises and coordinates activities in the restaurant. Ensures the use of current standard operation procedures by all team members. Confers with the Executive Chef and implements decisions on matters that will ensure the consistent production of quality food, the delivery of excellent customer service, while upholding company standards. Periodically reviews in-house restaurant operation safety guidelines, contributes revisions to policies that strengthen the protection of employees, valued customers, and company assets. Enforces sanitary practices for proper food handling and general cleanliness. Carries out safety procedures to consistently maintain a hazard-free environment for employees and guests. Promptly addresses and resolves customer complaints and concerns. Estimates future needs in kitchenware and equipment; places orders as needed. Consults with management when necessary for employment and termination decisions consistent with company guidelines. Arranges new employees’ proper onboarding; oversees the training of new employees. Prepares all required paperwork, including sales reports and work schedules in an organized and timely manner. Coordinates communication between front of the house and back of the house staff. Operates Point of Sale system and credit card machine.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must be at least 21 years of age. Must have at least six (6) months supervisory experience in the food service industry. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, and holidays. The qualified candidate must have valuable team building techniques, strong customer service skills, effective problem solving skills, good math and reporting abilities. Must be detail oriented with the capability to effectively assist with the restaurant activities and ensure an efficient flow of operations. The qualified applicant must have the ability to operate a Point of Sale system, must have sufficient knowledge on computer to do reports, must be able to work in a standing position for long periods of time, must be able to reach, bend, stoop, and must be able to safely lift up to 50 pounds. The selected candidate must have, on or before the first day of employment, a valid CNMI driver’s license and a valid Food Handler’s Certificate issued by the CNMI Bureau of Environmental Health.

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
