| Job Duties: | Prepare, season & cook dishes such as soup, meats, vegetables, or desserts in the restaurant. May order supplies, keep records & accounts, price items in menu or plan menu. Inspect & clean food preparation areas, such as equipment & work surfaces or serving areas to ensure safe & sanitary food handling practice. Make sure that all important knives are sharp & clean & that all equipment is in working order. Ensure freshness of foods & ingredients by checking for quality , keeping track of old & new items & rotating stocks. Ensured food is stored & cooked at correct temperature by regulating temperature of ovens , broiler, grills & roasters. Season & cook food according to recipes or personal judgement & experience. Turn or stir food to ensure even cooking. |
