Job Title: Office Clerk
Job Duties: Answer telephones, direct calls, take messages, receive emails. Open, sort, and route incoming mail, answer correspondence, and prepare outgoing mail. Communicate with customers, employees, and other individuals to answer questions, disseminate or explain information, take orders, and address complaints. Review files, records, and other documents to obtain information to respond to requests. Compute, record, and proofread data and other information, such as records or reports. Collect, count, and disburse money, do basic bookkeeping, and complete banking transactions. Complete and mail bills, contracts, policies, invoices, or checks. Complete work schedules, manage calendars, and arrange appointments. Manage employee records, make travel arrangements for office personnel. prepare meeting agendas, attend meetings, and record and transcribe minutes. Operate and manage office machines, such as photocopiers and scanners, facsimile machines, voice mail systems, and personal computers. Purchase office supplies if necessary. Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems using a computer. Compile, copy, sort, and file records of office activities, business transactions, and other activities.
High School Diploma Required? No
Qualification Requirements: 12 months of officer clerk experience. Excellent computer skills. On hand knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, stenography and transcription, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Talking to others to convey information effectively. Using computers and computer systems (including hardware and software) to program, write software, set up functions, enter data, or process information. Good interpersonal skill.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. There is 1 job opening the employer intends to fill. The employee will work from Monday to Friday. 40 hour per week, 8 hours per day. The place of employment will be Garapan Beach Road, QQ Building. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside in Saipan to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k).
