Job Title: | COUNTER ATTENDANTS |
Job Duties: | • Serve food to diners at counter or from steam table • Scrub and polish counters, steam tables, and other equipment, and clean glasses, dishes, and fountain equipment. • Prepare bills for food, using cash registers, calculators, or adding machines, and accept payment or make change. • Perform cleaning duties such as sweeping, mopping, and washing dishes, to keep equipment and facilities sanitary. • Balance receipts and payments in cash registers. • Brew coffee and tea, and fill containers with requested beverages. • Wrap menu item such as sandwiches, hot entrees, and desserts for serving or for takeout. • Replenish foods at serving stations. • Take customers' orders and write ordered items on tickets, giving ticket stubs to customers when needed to identify filled orders. • Serve salads, vegetables, meat, breads, and cocktails, ladle soups and sauces, portion desserts, and fill beverage cups and glasses. • Set up dining areas for meals and clear them following meals. • Add relishes and garnishes to food orders, according to instructions. • Order items needed to replenish supplies. • Deliver orders to kitchens, and pick up and serve food when it is ready. |

Comments: | This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in it's extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
