Job Title: Guest Service Agent
Job Duties: Ensures a pleasant and satisfying stay at Mariana Lounge. Greets, registers guests, and explains the facility amenities. Verifies the guest’s mode of payment and completes the check-in process using a point of sale system. Accurately maintains all guests’ folios by manually posting charges such as food purchases, transportation services, or stay extensions. Receives, makes, and confirms optional reservations. Takes food/drink orders, prepares and serves the orders to guest. Arranges transportation requests. Communicates clearly with other departments to ensure guest’s requests, concerns or complaints are addressed and resolved in a timely manner. Properly records all requests, concerns, or complaints from guests. Accurately computes the guest’s final bill at check-out, collects payment, issues change to guests when needed. Communicates with Chinese Agent vendors regarding optional tours; sells these tours and company optional activities to the Chinese Market and agents. Advertises and promotes such activities.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Applicant must be at least 21 years old. Must have at least two (2) years customer service experience in the hospitality industry. Must be fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English and Chinese. High energy level and positive approach to job and group responsibilities. Able to work overtime hours when necessary. Proficient with handling a Point of Sale system. Must have good communication skills. Ability to work and communicate well with others with different nationalities. Must have computer skills in MS Word and Excel. Ability to solve guest related concerns and must be able to handle customer complaints both professionally and efficiently. Must be able to work flexible hours including early morning, night, and grave yard shifts, weekends and holidays. Must be able to stand for long periods of time. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. of weight when needed while assisting the guest(s).

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2020 to September 30, 2021. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
