Job Title: Prepress Technician
Job Duties: Examine finished plates to detect flaws, verify conformity with master plates, and measure dot sizes and centers, using light boxes and microscopes; Proofread and perform quality control of text and images; Operate presses to print proofs of plates, monitoring printing quality to ensure that it is adequate; Examine photographic images for obvious imperfections prior to plate making; Select proper types of plates according to press run lengths; Examine unexposed photographic plates to detect flaws or foreign particles prior to printing; Generate prepress proofs in digital or other format to approximate the appearance of the final printed piece; Enter, position, and alter text size, using computers, to make up and arrange pages so that printed materials can be produced; Perform "preflight" check of required font, graphic, text and image files to ensure completeness prior to delivery to printer; Operate and maintain laser plate-making equipment that converts electronic data to plates without the use of film; Enter, store, and retrieve information on computer-aided equipment. Maintain, adjust, and clean equipment, and perform minor repairs. Arrange and mount typeset material and illustrations into paste-ups for printing reproduction, based on artists' or editors' layouts; Mix solutions such as developing solutions and colored coating solutions; Do other related duties as needed from time to time.

Qualification Requirements: Efficient in the operation of various kinds of press machines, like pad & folder wire stitching machine, puncher machine, cutting machine, embossing machine, folding and collating machine, letterpress and the like; knowledge of computer operation including program application; knowledge of principles and processses for providing customer and personal service, with emphasis on meeting quality standards for services and customer satisfaction; undergo training classes and certifications on safety procedures in handling chemicals; well-round in printing operation procedures.

Comments: Workmen compensation insurance provided. This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. Three-Fourths Guarantee. Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence. The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the worker while travelling from employee’s origin to the place of employment, as well as provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment.
