Job Title: Meat Cutter
Job Duties: Use hand or hand tools to perform routine cutting and trimming of meat, poultry, and seafood. Use knives, cleavers, meat saws, bandsaws, or other equipment to perform meat cutting and trimming. Weigh meats and tag containers for weight and contents. Inspect meat products for defects, bruises or blemishes and remove them along with any excess fat. Cut and trim meat to prepare for packing. Separate meats and byproducts into specified containers and seal containers. Process primal parts into cuts that are ready for retail use. Clean, trim, slice, and section carcasses for future processing.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must be a High School graduate. Must have 3 months work experience in wholesale food industry. Must be able to prepare primal cuts of meat into a variety of smaller cuts intended for sale in a retail environment. Prepare meat products, maintain meat department area and perform special order meat product requests. Must have full knowledge and experience of a meat department operations and skills. Ability to work independently.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 3 months work experience. Work days will be Monday to Sunday, and work hours will be from 6am-9pm. With this position the employer also offers the three-fourths guarantee as required by 20 CFR 655.423(f) where in three fourths is defined as an offer to workers full-time employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of each 12- week period (or 6-week period if the employment covered by the job is less than 120 days.) Transportation and Subsistence: If the Employee completes 50 percent of the work contract, the employer will provide or reimburse the worker’s transportation and subsistence costs from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Outbound transportation and subsistence costs will be paid by Employer if the Employee completes the work period covered by the work contract or where the worker dismissed earlier.
