| Job Duties: | Do on the spot assessment of the patient’s condition and determine proper course of treatment; use backboards, spine boards, stretchers, wheelchairs, and restraints to immobilize patients and secure them inside the ambulance; help transfer patients to hospitals or clinics and/or other healthcare facilities and report their observations, assessments and first aid treatment before relinquishing or transferring the care to the doctors or nurses-in-charge; transport patient’s back to their residence or custodial facility after their treatment and relinquish or transfer the care to family members or caregivers; create patient care report using EMS Charts documenting the medical care give to the patient at the scene and en-route to the hospital and/or residence or custodial facility. Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation instructor, leads the class and provides program about how to perform CPR in case of emergency. Teaches the proper techniques to bring back the consciousness in the person who has suffered a cardiac arrest. Coordinate and conducts classes, evaluate the proper performance of the students, keep a check on equipment and other things. Review medical procedures as documented by doctors; translating medical procedures into codes that can be translated by payers, other medical coders, and other medical facilities. Transmitting coded patient treatment information to payers and other recipient; coordinating insurance reimbursement of care providers; and handling patient’s billing. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Must have passed the National Registry of Emergency Medical Technician (NREMT); Must have completed and passed the training of required number of hours from the state approved program for Emergency Medical Technician; Must have acquired cardio-pulmonary resuscitation certification (Basic Life Support-CPR/AED); Must be a “Licensed” Emergency Medical Technician (as approved by the Health Care Professions Licensing Board (HCPLB)of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands; Must be a cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (CPR) Instructor; Must know how to drive and must possess a valid CNMI Driver’s License; Must be an experienced medical biller and coder; Must know how to operate accounting software particularly quickbooks; Must have a clean criminal background; Computer literate (Microsoft Word/Excel); Must be willing to work flexible hours including nights/weekends, and holidays |
