| Job Duties: | Provide routine,individualized healthcare such as changing bandages and dressing wounds, and applying topical medications to the elderly, convalescents, or persons with disabilities at the patient's home or in a care facility. Monitor or report changes in health status. Maintain hourly records of patient care, condition, progress or problems and to report and discuss with visiting U.S. Registered Nurses or case manager. Check patient's pulse, temperature, blood pressure, oxygen level and respiration on hourly basis. Perform nebulization, suctioning of secretions and enteral feedings via peg tube. Provide patient with help moving in and out of bed, baths, wheelchairs or ambulance and with dressing and grooming. Care for patients by changing bed linens, cleaning or assisting with their personal care. Entertain, converse with or read aloud to patient to keep them mentally healthy and alert. Administer prescribed medications under the written direction of Physician or as directed by U.S. Registered Nurse and ensure patient takes his/her medicines. Direct patient in simple prescribed exercises or in the use of braces or artificial limbs. Clean and sanitize patient rooms, bathrooms, examination rooms and or other patient areas. |
