Job Title: | FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR |
Job Duties: | Train and supervise workers in food preparation, and in service, sanitation, and safety procedures. Supervise and participate in kitchen and dining area cleaning activities. -Estimate ingredients and supplies required to prepare a recipe. Resolve customer complaints regarding food service. Control inventories of food, equipment, and smallware and report shortages to designated personnel. -Purchase or requisition supplies and equipment needed to ensure quality and timely delivery of services. Observe and evaluate workers and work procedures to ensure quality standards and service, and complete disciplinary write-ups. Specify food portions and courses, production and time sequences, and workstation and equipment arrangements. Assign duties, responsibilities, and work stations to employees in accordance with work requirements. Analyze operational problems, such as theft and wastage, and establish procedures to alleviate these problems. -Perform personnel actions, such as providing employee orientation and training, and conducting supervisory activities, such as creating work schedules or organizing employee time sheets. Recommend measures for improving work procedures and worker performance to increase service quality and enhance jobs safety. Conduct meetings and collaborate with other personnel for menu planning, serving arrangements, and related details. Develop departmental objectives, budgets, policies, procedures and strategies. |

Qualification Requirements: | MUST HAVE 12 MONTHS (1 YEAR)WORK EXPERIENCE AS A FOOD SERVICE SUPERVISOR. PREFERABLY WITH ONLINE TRAINING CERTIFICATE FOR JOB-RELATED COURSES SUCH AS FOOD SAFETY OF AT LEAST 8 HOURS PER YEAR. KNOWLEDGE ON BASIC HACCP(HAZARD ANALYSIS CRITICAL CONTROL POINT) PROCEDURES IS A PLUS. APPLICANT MUST BE ABLE TO LIFT AT LEAST 45 LBS. AND CAN WORK ON A FLEXIBLE OR AN EARLY MORNING SHIFT. APPLICANTS MUST HAVE KNOWLEDGE ON THE FOLLOWING: KNOWLEDGE OF BUSINESS AND MANAGEMENT PRINCIPLES INVOLVED IN STRATEGIC PLANNING, RESOURCE ALLOCATION, HUMAN RESOURCE MODELING, LEADERSHIP TECHNIQUE, PRODUCTION METHODS, AND COORDINATION OF PEOPLE AND RESOURCES, CUSTOMER AND PERSONAL SERVICE. PERSONNEL AND HUMAN RESOURCES - KNOWLEDGE OF PRINCIPLES AND PROCEDURES FOR PERSONNEL RECRUITMENT, SELECTION, TRAINING, COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS, LABOR RELATIONS AND NEGOTIATIONS, AND PERSONNEL INFORMATION SYSTEMS. Comments: | OVERTIME WAGE RATE TO BE PAID IS FROM A RANGE OF $ 13.71 TO $ 14.25 PER HOUR. WORKER WILL BE PROVIDED AN OVERTIME RATE FOR HOURS WORKED IN EXCESS OF 40 HOURS IN A WORK-WEEK EQUIVALENT TO X1.5 OF THE BASIC WAGE RATE OFFERED(NOTE: OVERTIME RATE ITEM FIELD IN JVA CANNOT REFLECT "X1.5"AS QUOTED). WORK SCHEDULE IS FROM 5:00 AM TO 1:00 PM FROM MONDAY TO FRIDAY. WORKERS ARE OFFERED EMPLOYMENT FOR A TOTAL NUMBER OF WORK HOURS EQUAL TO AT LEAST THREE FOURTHS OF THE WORKDAYS OF THE TOTAL PERIOD THAT BEGINS WITH THE FIRST WORKDAY OF EMPLOYMENT UP TO THE EXPIRATION OF THE WORK CONTRACT.
