| Job Duties: | SUMMARY OF DUTIES: Diagnose, adjust, repair or overhaul aircraft engines and assemblies to ensure air worthiness. SPECIFIC TASKS: Repairs, replaces, and rebuilds aircraft structures, such as wings and fuselage, and functional components including rigging, surface controls, and plumbing and hydraulic units, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment such as shears, sheet metal brakes, welding equipment, rivet gun, an d drills. Reads and interprets manufacturer's and airline's maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components. Examines engines for cracked cylinders and oil leaks, and listens to operating engine to detect and diagnose malfunctions, such as sticking or burned valves; Tests engine operation, using testing equipment such as ignition analyzer, compression checker, distributor timer, and ammeter, to locate source of malfunction; Replaces or repairs worn or damaged components, such as carburetors, alternators, and magnetos, using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment; Removes engine from aircraft, using hoists or forklift truck; Disassembles and inspects parts for wear, warping, or other defects; Repairs or replaces defective engine parts a nd reassembles and installs engine in aircraft; Adjusts, repairs, or replaces electrical wiring system and aircraft accessories; Performs miscellaneous duties to service aircraft, including flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes. |

| Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 01, 2020 to September 30, 2021. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Airlines are covered by the U.S. Railway Act. Workers will be provided with on the job training to perform duties assigned. Compensation offered will be determined by the worker's skills, education, and experience.
