Job Title: General Accountant
Job Duties: Responsible for overall accounting functions of the company. Shall prepare & analyze financial information and financial reports to determine or maintain a record of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, or other financial activities within an organization. Prepare, examine, or analyze accounting records, financial statements, or other financial reports to assess accuracy, completeness, and conformance to reporting and procedural standards. Develop, modify, implement, and document recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Working with spreadsheets, sales & purchase ledgers and journals. Managing petty cash disbursement and reconciliation. Sorting out the incoming and outgoing daily posts and answering any queries from suppliers, customers, & general managers. Prepare and file CNMI and Federal taxes including, BGR, EWT, Bar, and FICA taxes. Compute and prepare bi-weekly payrolls, sales, expenses & bank reconciliation and reports. Do correspondence with Local & Federal and private agencies. Correct tax deficiencies. Prepare & submit financial reports to the General Manager and Corporate officers. Do other duties as assign from time to time
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Knowledgeable in the overall accounting function of a company. Proficient in using Peachtree, QuickBooks, and Microsoft office software. Must be proficient in tax returns preparations of all applicable CNMI and Federal taxes. A certificate from the previous employer is required for all applicants. Willing to work flexible hours including holidays and weekends. Hardworking, can work under less supervision and must be able to meet work deadlines. Must be able to secure local driver license required.
