Job Title: Hair Dresser
Job Duties: Keep work stations clean and sanitize tools, such as scissors and combs. Bleach, dye, or tint hair, using applicator or brush.Cut, trim and shape hair or hairpieces, based on customers' instructions, hair type, and facial features, using clippers, scissors, trimmers and razors. Schedule client appointments.Update and maintain customer information records, such as beauty services provided. Demonstrate and sell hair care products and cosmetics. Analyze patrons' hair and other physical features to determine and recommend beauty treatment or suggest hair styles. Shampoo, rinse, condition, and dry hair and scalp or hairpieces with water, liquid soap, or other solutions. Operate cash registers to receive payments from patrons. Order, display, and maintain supplies. Comb, brush, and spray hair or wigs to set style. Develop new styles and techniques. Apply water or setting, straightening or waving solutions to hair, and use curlers, rollers, hot combs and curling irons to press and curl hair. Shape eyebrows and remove facial hair, using depilatory cream, tweezers, electrolysis or wax. Shave, trim, and shape beards and mustaches. Train or supervise other hairstylists, hairdressers, and assistants. Massage and treat scalp for hygienic and remedial purposes, using hands, fingers, or vibrating equipment. Administer therapeutic medication and advise patron to seek medical treatment for chronic or contagious scalp conditions. Recommend and explain the use of cosmetics, lotions, and creams to soften and lubricate skin and enhance and restore natural appearance. Perform other related duties as assigned.

MUST HAVE A HAIRDRESSERS OR HAIRSTYLISTS CERTIFICATE.POSSESS CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS, LISTENING SKILLS, TIME-MANAGEMENT SKILLS AND THE ABILITY TO STAND FOR LONG PERIODS OF TIME. MUST BE WILLING TO WORK FLEXIBLE TIME SCHEDULES INCLUDING WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. ABLE TO WORK UNDER PRESSURE AND MUST POSSES A FRIENDLY AND GOOD MANNE.R

Comments: This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position commencing on 04/01/2020 to 03/31/2021. Selected applicant will work full time with at least 35 hours per week. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). Daily transportation to and from the place(s) of employment will be provided by the employer if applicable. The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge; all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k) Board, lodging, or other facilities the employer will offer to workers or tends to assist workers in securing if applicable. On-the-job training will be provided to the worker if applicable.
