Job Duties: Under the general direction of the Chief Medical Officer, the employee in this position is responsible for diagnosing and counseling patients on their current medical condition and set up an effective treatment plan as well as educate patients on preventative health measures and perform annual physicals. Meet with patients to assess their symptoms; inquire into the nature of their illness or injury. Accurately identify and diagnose medical conditions. Thoroughly examine patients and attend to their chief complaint. Answer and advise on any other questions and concerns the patient might have. Assign appropriate treatment plan according to each patient’s needs. Educate and inform the patient of the necessary treatment plan and any follow-up appointments. Perform clinical tests to better inform diagnosis. Perform in-office treatment if possible. Look for anything unusual or abnormal. Prescribe appropriate medicines or therapy. Calculate correct medication dosage for each patient and educate on proper use. Order outside diagnostic tests and lab work as needed (blood/urine test, tissue samples, imagery, etc.) Analyze and share results of diagnostic testing with the patient. Continually chart and maintain patient information on paper and in the computer system. Conduct follow-ups with patients to monitor and track their condition and progress. Refer patient to medical specialist when needed. Maintain confidentiality and always work with respect and integrity. Encourage preventative health measures including proper diet, rest and exercise. Direct and train medical staff on proper procedures and protocols. Attend conferences and continue research in your field to stay abreast of medical innovations and breakthroughs. Performs other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must be a graduate of an approved Medical School (MD, DO, MBBS) with a minimum of five years of experience in Family Medicine or Public Health practice. Plus, five years of experience and board-certified in Family Medicine. Must have a valid license to practice as a physician. Ability to work effectively with coworkers and clients. Must have good oral and written communication skills. Comprehensive of basic medical information. Computer literacy is necessary.

Comments: Conditional Requirements: This position is a full-time employment status. The regular work schedule will be Monday to Friday from 7:30 am to 4:30 pm for a total of 40 hours per week. This work schedule, however, is subject to change with or without notice based on the Employer’s business requirement and/or by the demands of the employee’s job; Every effort will be made to adhere to the employee’s regular work schedule. This position is “EXEMPT”. Other: This position is paid on a bi-weekly basis (two [2] week period). Benefits include eight (8) paid holidays, paid time off (PTO) and health and dental insurance. KCHC adheres to all applicable deductions such as CNMI tax, Federal Tax, Medicare and Social Security. Once working at the site, clinicians may be eligible to apply for loan repayment assistance.
