| Job Title: | Sous Chef |
| Job Duties: | Responsible for all cuisine culinary activities for the restaurant. This position will oversee all activity in the kitchen, train personnel, plan menus, oversee product purchasing and manage culinary budget. Monitor compliance with health and fire regulations regarding food preparation and serving, and building maintenance in lodging and dining facilities. Monitor food preparation methods, portion sizes, and garnishing and presentation of food to ensure that food is prepared and presented in an acceptable manner. Count money and make bank deposits. Investigate and resolve complaints regarding food quality, service, or accommodations. Coordinate assignments of cooking personnel to ensure economical use of food and timely preparation. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food. Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation. Other related duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Associate's Degree with major concentration in food preparation, management, nutrition or related field AND at least twelve (12) months of experience as a Sous Chef preferably in a restaurant hotel. Preferably four years of progressive experience in high-volume food production or catering, or an equivalent combination of relevant education and/or experience. Korean Cuisine knowledge and skills preferred. |
