| Job Duties: | Repair wooden and fiberglass boats according to blueprints and customer specifications using hand tools and power tools. Confer with customer or supervisory personnel and read blueprints to determine repairs needed and plan sequence of operations. Examine boat to determine location and extent of defect. Cut out defective areas using power saw, drills, and hand tools. Measure and record dimensions of defective area and lay out dimension lines and reference points on materials using rules, straight hedge, squares, and scribing instruments. Set up and operate saws, joiners, planers, and shapers to fabricate parts. Position and fit repair parts in boat and secure part to boat using caulking gun, adhesives, or carpenters' hand tools. Cut fiberglass. |

Must be good in technical activities to be comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces. A reasonable level of fitness and manual labor experience is required.
