| Job Duties: | Essential functions of the job may include but are not limited to the following: * Teaching and Instruction, develop lesson plans that teach students' subjects. *Instruct students such as reading, essay, writing and speech. *Use demonstrations and props to teach the subjects. * Assign homework to students to reinforce the lessons learned in the classroom. * Schedule field trips for students during the year to provide learning experiences outside of the classroom. * Motivate and inspire the students to develop a lifelong love of learning and education. * Work with students in small groups or with individual students who may be struggling with the classroom material. * In addition to the classroom material, instruct the students to work collaboratively with other children. * Assess, evaluate and grades and evaluates the students comprehension and knowledge of the material. * Use assessments of homework assignments, quizzes and tests to determine a student's progress in the class. * Observe behavior when assessing a student's progress in school. * Keep records of grades and attendance for each student in the classroom. * Supervise and classroom control. * Lead the classroom and set the rules for behavior among students. * Supervise the behavior of children outside of the classroom setting , such as during lunch or field trips or in recess. * Responsible for establishing a productive environment for learning for all children in the classroom. *Discipline disruptive students and praise those who perform well in the classroom. * Meet with parents to discuss a student's progress in the classroom. * Offer suggestions for parents working with students at home such as extra help or tutoring schools. * Schedule parent meetings throughout the year. * Attending conferences and workshops throughout the year to stay up to date on issues in teaching and learn new techniques. * To plan, organize and implement an appropriate instructional program in the Elementary grade learning environment that guides and encourages students to develop and fulfill their academic potential. * Develops schemes of work, lesson plans and tests that are in accordance with established procedures. * Instruct and monitor students in the use of learning materials and equipment * Use relevant technology to support and differentiate instruction * Manage student behavior in the classroom by establishing and enforcing rules and procedures. *Update all necessary records accurately and completely as required by laws, CNMI policies and school regulations * Prepare required reports on student's activities *Communicate necessary information regularly to students, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. * Communicate necessary information regularly to student, colleagues and parents regarding student progress and student needs. * Prepare classroom for class activities * Provide a variety of learning materials and resources for use in educational activities * Demonstrate,preparation and skill in working with students from diverse, cultural, economic and ability backgrounds. * Encourage parent and community involvement, obtain information for parents when requested. * Promptly return phone calls and answer emails * Participate in appropriate professional activities. * Participate in extracurricular activities such as social activities, sporting activities, club and student organizations as directed. |

Candidate must be trained in Switched-on-Schoolhouse system and be well versed in Abeka Streaming and Video Procedures - preferred. Able to coach middle school and high school volleyball a plus. Must have 24 months of teaching experience. |
