| Job Duties: | Teach ESL courses to middle school and high school students twice a week for each class. Create detailed lesson plans each week for each class; the lesson plans must include expected learner outcomes, objectives, and assessments. Procure all teaching and assessment materials necessary to adequately teach and assess each class. Provide verbal and written feedback to all students concerning their progress, challenges, and behavior. Provide verbal and written feedback to parents when required. Provide a report at the end of each semester to each ESL student's parents or guardians about the progress and challenges facing the student. Assess each student in a timely manner, preferably each day. Firmly but gently engage in behavior modification for any student whose behavior is disruptive to the class. Contact parents or guardians if disruptive students do not reform. Update all teaching materials as necessary. May be asked to teach math courses as well. |
