| Job Duties: | MANIPULATE MUSCLES AND OTHER TISSUES IN THE BODY TO RELIEVE PAIN, REDUCE STRESS AND IMPROVE GENERAL WELL-BEING. DISCUSS THE SYMPTOMS, MEDICAL HISTORY AND EXPECTATIONS WITH THE CLIENT AND THEN DETERMINE THE BEST TECHNIQUES, OR MODALITIES, TO USE. MANY TYPES OF MODALITIES ARE AVAILABLE, SUCH AS SWEDISH, DEEP-TISSUE, ROLLING AND SPORTS. USE HANDS, FINGERS, FOREARMS, ELBOWS AND FEET TO KNEAD THE BODY, AND THEY MAY APPLY LOTIONS AND OILS. MAY WORK IN BRIGHTLY LIT SETTINGS WITH SEVERAL CLIENTS, SUCH AS FOR SPORTS TREATMENTS, OR WITH AN INDIVIDUAL IN A DARKENED ROOM ACCOMPANIED BY CANDLES AND MUSIC, TO RELIEVE STRESS. |
