Job Title: MAINTENANCE & REPAIR WORKERS-GENERAL
Job Duties: Inspect, operate, or test machinery or equipment to diagnose machine malfunctions. See more occupations related to this task. Dismantle machines, equipment, or devices to access and remove defective parts, using hoists, cranes, hand tools, or power tools. See more occupations related to this task. Perform routine maintenance, such as inspecting drives, motors, or belts, checking fluid levels, replacing filters, or doing other preventive maintenance actions. See more occupations related to this task. Diagnose mechanical problems and determine how to correct them, checking blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs, as necessary. Repair machines, equipment, or structures, using tools such as hammers, hoists, saws, drills, wrenches, or equipment such as precision measuring instruments or electrical or electronic testing devices. Construct, erect, installs and repairs structures and fixtures of wood, plywood and wallboard using carpenter’s tools and power tools. Studies blue prints, sketches or building plans, repair manuals for information pertaining to types of materials required, Performs any combination of the following duties on construction project, usually working in utility capacity by transferring from one task to another where demands require worker with varied experience and procedures while conducting any and all of the above evolutions.
