| Job Duties: | • Manage all company accounting functions; maintains control over expenses, income, assets and liabilities of the company; • Review and analyze financial statements to ensure adherence to the U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP); • Develop and maintain internal control and effective accounting system and policies; • Prepare financial highlights and account schedules for top management; • Prepare monthly/annually financial statement – Balance Sheet, Profit & Loss and Cash Flow • Prepare monthly subsidiary financials for 14 stores and consolidates for monthly/yearly reporting to management; • Develop, maintain and analyze budgets, preparing periodic reports that compare budgeted costs to actual costs; • Supervise the compilation of accounting data; • Identify and resolve point of sales issues that affects financial accounting for all stores; • Maintain chart of accounts to include addition and deletion of accounts and departments; • Review and approve entries prepared by accounting staff; • Prepare monthly accruals and appropriate reversal of such accruals; • Analyze and control over the monthly closing entry schedules; • Supervise the preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual account reconciliation in accordance with management expectations and current accounting standards; • Reconcile bank accounts monthly and post bank reconciliation in accounting system • Reconcile inter-company accounts; • Supervise audit of daily sales reports and deposits; • Generating, reviewing and verifying the accounts receivable aging report; • Ensure compliance with taxes and licenses; • Master the use of the accounting software to create reports, aid with analysis, and retrieve financial data requested by management; • Assist external auditors to year-end data for consolidation of Audited Financial Statements; • Train and supervise junior accountants; • Assess and review work performance of junior accounting staff foe their yearly employee evaluation; • Perform other related duties as assigned or requested by Board of Directors or the Controller. |
