Job Title: General Manager; Scuba Diving Instructor (SOC Code: 11-1021)
Job Duties: Plan, direct, coordinate, oversee & manage activities directly related to daily operations of the company. Formulate policies, review financial statements, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement, and to determine areas needing cost deduction and program improvement. Direct and coordinate activities of company’s departments concerned with the services and sales of the company’s businesses, including administrative activities. Monitor suppliers to ensure that they efficiently and effectively provide needed goods or services within budgetary limits. Prepare staff work schedules and assign specific duties, determine staffing requirements, interview, hire and train new employees or oversee those personnel processes. May also accommodate customers as scuba diving instructor, which includes: teach, instruct, and guide scuba diving activities to individuals or groups at public or private facilities; explain and demonstrate the basics of scuba diving and teach proper use of diving gears and equipments. Conduct certification classes explaining techniques, principles and methods of regulating movement of body to achieve proficiency in diving. Issue certifications to customers that successfully completed the certification classes of various diving levels, and do other related duties. Accommodate Japanese tourists and vendors, that dominates the nationality of company’s customers and vendors. Do other related duties as assigned.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Minimum 2 years of experience as a scuba diving instructor in Saipan; Must be a PADI or NAUI trained and certified, licensed scuba diving instructor. Must be knowledgeable in diving spots in Saipan and other major islands of Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands (especially Tinian and Rota). Must be able to speak, read and write Japanese, enough to teach and instruct scuba diving to tourists and regulars from Japan which dominates the nationality of company's customers.

Fringe Benefits: Compensations: Workers’ Compensation provided. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence Provided: If the worker is traveling from other countries and completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker’s transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
