Job Title: Warehouse Worker
Job Duties: Receive, store, and issue materials, equipment, and other items from stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard. Keep records and compile stock reports. Pack and unpack items to be stocked on shelves in stockrooms, warehouses, or storage yards. Store items in an orderly and accessible manner in warehouses, tool rooms, supply rooms, or other areas. Examine and inspect stock items for wear or defects, reporting any damage to supervisors. Receive and count stock items, and record data manually or using computer. Mark stock items using identification tags, stamps, electric marking tools, or other labeling equipment. Verify inventory computations by comparing them to physical counts of stock, and investigate discrepancies or adjust errors. Issue or distribute materials, products, parts, and supplies to customers or coworkers, based on information from incoming requisitions. Provide assistance or direction to other stockroom, warehouse, or storage yard workers. Dispose of damaged or defective items, or return them to vendors. Clean and maintain supplies, tools, equipment, and storage areas to ensure compliance with safety regulations. Recommend disposal of excess, defective, or obsolete stock. Keep records on the use or damage of stock or stock-handling equipment. Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, price lists, shortages, shipments, expenditures, and goods used or issued. Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities. Compile, review, and maintain data from contracts, purchase orders, requisitions, and other documents to assess supply needs. Prepare products, supplies, equipment, or other items for use by adjusting, repairing or assembling them as necessary. Determine sequence and release of back orders according to stock availability. Confer with engineering and purchasing personnel and vendors regarding stock procurement and availability. Purchase new or additional stock, or prepare documents that provide for such purchases. Advise retail customers or internal users on the appropriateness of parts, supplies, or materials requested.
High School Diploma Required? Yes
Qualification Requirements: Must be a High School graduate. OSHA Certificate holder for HAZMAT. Must be able to frequently lift 35 pounds and occasionally lift up to 70 pounds. Must have a minimum of twelve months experience with retail & wholesale foods industry.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position and must have at least 12 months work experience. Work days will be Monday-Saturday (one day-off), and work hours will be from 8am to 5pm. Three-Fourths Guarantee: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in it's extensions, if any. Transportation and Subsistence: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
