Job Title: Off-shore Vessel Diesel Engine Crew
Job Duties: Stand watches on vessels during specified periods while vessels are under way. Assume command of vessels in the event that ships' masters become incapacitated. Steer vessels, using navigational devices, such as compasses or sextants, or navigational aids, such as lighthouses or buoys. Inspect equipment, such as cargo-handling gear, lifesaving equipment, visual-signaling equipment, or fishing, towing, or dredging gear, to detect problems. Observe loading or unloading of cargo or equipment to ensure that handling and storage are performed according to specifications. Participate in activities related to maintenance of vessel security. Arrange for ships to be stocked, fueled, or repaired. Observe water from ships' mastheads to advise on navigational direction. Plan the day's work and activities. Performs any other duties as assigned.

Comments: The place of employment will be at Tanapag, Saipan. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside within the area of the place of employment to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). Daily transportation to and from the place(s) of employment will be provided by the employer if applicable. The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k) Board, lodging, or other facilities the employer will offer to works or tends to assist workers in securing if applicable On the job training will be provided to the worker if applicable.
