| Job Duties: | Responsible for all tasks related to the Hybrid Fiber Coaxial system’s operation and maintenance. Perform preventive and demand maintenance tasks from the output of the headend, through the fiber optic distribution system to the node, through the trunk system to the distribution system, through the distribution tap to all terminal points with a drop system both upstream and downstream. Respond to area outages and problems. Responsible for all tasks associate with the Hybrid Fiber Coaxial optical, trunk, and distribution system. Troubleshoot and repair area outages and poor reception problems. Perform return path ingress mitigation. Perform upstream and downstream sweep alignment. Diagnose HFC leakage and repair. Perform mainline CATV construction. Perform mainline active and passive devices installation. Install standby power supply and test/operation and maintenance of the Alpha XM3 power supplies. Locate underground HFC infrastructure using a cable locator or a ground penetrating radar and mark the depth and location for clearance purpose and underground trenching build. Perform preventive maintenance on CATV infrastructure to include coaxial cabling and fiber optic equipment. Ensure FCC compliance testing and compliance with OSHA, NEC, and company safety rules and procedures. Utilize Cisco Nodes hardware, Scientific Atlanta amplifiers, line extender amplifiers hardware, and CATV passive devices in performing job duties. Required to travel six times a year to either MSA of Rota, NMI or MSA of Tinian, NMI for one week or less to perform work as a Field Technician on employer’s equipment. |

| Comments: | The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020. The job opportunity requires that the worker travel, in an employer provided vehicle, to employer's equipment in all villages in the MSA of Saipan and to travel, at employer’s expense, six times a year to either MSA of Rota, NMI or MSA of Tinian, NMI for one week or less to perform work as a Field Technician on employer’s equipment. Workdays will be Monday to Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the workers at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the workers complete 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the workers’ transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the workers are dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the workers’ reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the workers originally departed to work, except where the workers will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a workers’ voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
