| Job Duties: | Keep classrooms and administration office in clean and orderly condition by cleaning all classrooms and administration office after school hours everyday. Perform heavy cleaning duties, such as operating motor-driven cleaning equipment, mopping floors, washing walls and glass, and removing garbage. May perform routine maintenance activities, and notify management of need for repairs and additions. Takes charge in the inventory of all cleaning materials. May perform minor routine painting, plumbing, and other related activities. Must have knowledge in the proper use of poisonous materials, bleach and disinfectant. Mixes water and chemicals or acids in container to prepare cleaning solutions, according to specifications and follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures. Monitor campus safety by performing such tasks as locking doors after school and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created. Mows and trims lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers, and clears debris from grounds. Sets up, arranges, and removes decorations, tables, chairs, and ladders, for events such as graduations and other school functions and events. Moves items between classrooms and administration office, manually. Must be very flexible and hardworking. Must know how to strip and apply wax on the floor. Performs other related duties as assigned. |
