| Job Title: | Computer Support Specialist |
| Job Duties: | Monitor the daily performance of the company's computer systems. Setup and install computer equipment for employee use, ensuring hardware, software & peripherals are working properly. Assess the employee's work are a for needed space for the computer equipment & peripheral as well as ensure necessary resources such as cables, power outlet, surge protection, and power backups are installed and functioning properly. Educate and train employees on the proper use of computer hardware and software and peripherals. Answer employee questions regarding computer software or hardware. Troubleshoot computer hardware or software if the answers do not solve the employee's computer problems. Troubleshooting includes conferring with the employee, performing diagnostic testing, consulting technical manuals or websites to resolve the computer hardware or software problem. Perform minor repairs; refer major hardware, peripheral equipment, or software problems to vendor or service center for service. Coordinate with vendor for pick-up/delivery of hardware/equipment and testing that it is working properly upon return from the vendor from service center. Periodically evaluate if the company's computers, hardware, software, and peripherals are working effectively or if they need replacement or upgrade. Modify and/or customize programs for internal needs. Perform other duties as may be assigned. |
