| Job Title: | Assistant Golf Course Superintendent |
| Job Duties: | Assistant superintendent assists the golf course superintendent in maintaining the aesthetics of the golf course. They are also responsible for staff scheduling and training, overseeing fertility and pesticide programs, ensuring proper operation of the irrigation system as well as participating in all ongoing projects on the golf course. Assist the Golf Course Superintendent on all phases of golf course maintenance including operations, cost control, and personnel. Works closely with, advises, and coordinates the Golf Course Superintendent on any issues related to golf course maintenance. Directs and participates in the maintenance of the grounds and designs and implements landscape plans. Administers and enforces rules, regulations, and policies for staff. Also, oversees the care and maintenance of the turf, ornamental plants, shrubs, trees, water hazards, and sand bunkers on the facility grounds. Recruits, supervises and retains maintenance staff. Moreover, conducts employee performance evaluations and exercises disciplinary action. Oversees subordinates in proper and safe operation and maintenance of mechanical and power equipment. Performs other duties as assigned. |

| Qualification Requirements: | A two years of golf course maintenance experience and related field in a supervisory capacity of at least thirty employees. Knowledge of irrigation operation and water management. Knowledge of golf course equipment, maintenance and repairs. Experience and knowledge of golf course operation. Excellent leadership skills and trouble shooting skills. Experience in supervising, directing, scheduling staff. Knowledge of computer programs. Knowledge of fertility and application methods. Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of the game of golf. Pesticide Applicator certification. Valid driver’s license. Ability to develop and maintain awareness of occupational hazards and safety precautions; skilled in following safety practices and recognizing hazards. |
