Job Title: Reservations Agent
Job Duties: Plan, schedule or supervise the work of other employees. Confer with customers to determine their service requirements and travel preferences. Announce arrival and departure information, using public address systems. Maintain computerized inventories of available passenger space and provide information on space reserved or available. Inform clients of essential travel information, such as travel times, transportation connections, or medical and visa requirements. Answer inquiries regarding information, such as schedules, accommodations, procedures, or policies. Plan routes, itineraries, and accommodation details, and compute fares and fees, using schedules, rate books, and computers. Make and confirm reservations for transportation and accommodations, using telephones, faxes, mail, and computers. Prepare customer invoices and accept payment. Contact customers or travel agents to advise them of travel conveyance changes or to confirm reservations. Promote particular destinations, tour packages, and other travel services. Contact housekeeping or maintenance staff when guests report problems. Make and confirm reservations. Verify customers' credit, and establish how the customer will pay for the accommodation. Keep records of room availability and guests' accounts, manually or using computers. Post charges, such as those for rooms, food, liquor, or telephone calls, to ledgers, manually or by using computers. Record guest comments or complaints, referring customers to managers as necessary. Compute bills, collect payments, and make change for guests. Answer inquiries pertaining to hotel services, guest registration, and travel directions, or make recommendations regarding shopping, dining, or entertainment. Date-stamp, sort, and rack incoming mail and messages. Arrange tours, taxis, or restaurant reservations for customers.

Qualification Requirements: High school diploma or GED. At least one (1) year of related supervisory experience. Must possess knowledge of China market. Fluency in both written and oral communication in the English and Chinese languages is preferred as incumbent will serve as a liaison with China office regarding any requests and inquiries. Able and willing to work shifts, evenings, graveyards, holidays, and weekends. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction. Knowledge of relevant equipment, policies, procedures, and strategies to promote effective local, state, or national security operations for the protection of people, data, property, and institutions. Knowledge of human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders. Giving full attention to what other people are saying, taking time to understand the points being made, asking questions as appropriate, and not interrupting at inappropriate times. Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on September 27, 2019 to September 26, 2020 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
