Job Title: CHEF AND HEAD COOK
Job Duties: Direct and may participate in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of salads, soups, fish, meats, vegetables, desserts, or other foods. May plan and price menu items, order supplies, and keep records and accounts. Monitor sanitation practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations. To make sure that each them has a valid health permit always and that sanitation permit of the establishment is renewed every year. Check the quality of raw or cooked food products to ensure that standards are met. Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients. Instruct cooks or other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, or presentation of food. Supervise or coordinate activities of cooks or workers engaged in food preparation. Direct subordinates in the best way to prepare and cook Thai foods as well as other cuisines served in the restaurant. Do some management report from time to time and discuss ways to increase revenue for the business. May participate in the hiring and firing of employees as needed by the business.
