Job Title: AUTOMOTIVE GLASS INSTALLERS & REPAIRERS
Job Duties: Allow all glass parts installed with urethane ample time to cure, taking temperature and humidity into account. Apply a bead of urethane around the perimeter of each pinch-weld and dress the remaining urethane on the pinch-welds so that it is of uniform level and thickness. Check for and remove moisture or contamination in damaged areas and keep areas dry until repairs are complete. Cool or warm glass in the event of temperature extremes. Cut the flat safety glass according to specified patterns or perform precision pattern making and glass cutting to custom fit replacement windows. Hold cut or uneven of glass against automated abrasive belts to shape or smooth edges. Install new foam dams on pinch-welds if required. Install replacement glass in vehicles. Install rubber channeling strips around edges of glass or frames to weatherproof windows or to prevent rattling. Install, repair, or replace safety glass and related materials, such as back glass heating elements, on vehicles or equipment. Obtain windshields or windows for specific automobile makes and models from stock and examine them for defects prior to installation.Prime all scratches on pinch-welds with primer and allow to dry. Remove all dirt, foreign matter, and loose glass from damaged areas, apply primer along windshield or window edges, and allow primer to dry.

Qualification Requirements: PHYSICAL STRENGTH AND DEXTERITY IN ORDER TO WORK WELL WITH LARGE PANES OF GLASS. CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS FOR INTERACTING WITH THE PUBLIC IN REPAIR SHOPS AND WITH CLIENTS DURING TRANSACTIONS. TECHNICAL SKILLS EARNED THROUGH EDUCATION AND OR TRAINING. TIME MANAGEMENT AND QUALITY CONTROL ANALYSIS IN ORDER TO COMPLETE REPAIRS IN A TIMELY FASHION.

Comments: (1) EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position, commencing on October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 (2) WORK HOURS Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment at least thirty five (35) hours per week. (3)THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. (4) INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE The Employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. (5) PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job.
