Job Title: Gardener
Job Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hand or power tools or equipment. Workers typically perform a variety of tasks, which may include any combination of the following: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, and installation of mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Assists in the upkeep of the landscaping around the hotel and office. Maintains grounds of the hotel and resort area by performing the following duties. Cuts lawns. Trims and edges around walks, flower beds, and walls. Prunes shrubs and trees to shape and improve growth or remove damaged leaves, branches, or twigs. Sprays lawn, shrubs, and trees with fertilizer, herbicides, and insecticides. Rakes and removes leaves. Cleans grounds and remove litter. Plants grass, flowers, trees, and shrubs. Waters lawn and shrubs. Cleans out drainage ditches and culverts. Sharpens tools such as weed cutters, edging tools, and shears. To make minor repairs and basic maintenance on equipment such as lawn mower, spreader, irrigation systems, etc. To properly operate commonly used landscaping equipment. To maintain interior plant materials and greenhouse, and propagates plant materials as required. To properly care and maintain excellent health condition of hotel wildlife i.e. birds. To maintain and clean lagoon, fountain and water features. Work days and hours are flexible.
