| Job Duties: | Responsible for supervision of the power plant operation and to achieve maximum operation of the hotel’s maintenance division. Prepares weekly work reports, schedules in accordance with workload and priorities for the approval of the Director of Engineering. Checks timely completion of maintenance request paying attention to guest related jobs. Supervises plant room operators under his responsibility for performance, quality for workmanship and attendance at work. Supervises all personnel during hazardous work to ensure that all safety regulations are being strictly observed. Prepares monthly utility consumption reports and keep constant surveys of correct calibration of all gauges and utility recordings. Pay’s close attention to water quality in swimming pools and spas through daily treatment, testing and reporting. Orders reasonable amounts of spare parts for all machinery and equipment; maintains par stock of emergency requirements in a timely manner. Purchases parts and consumables; initiates clear and concise purchase of such items. Controls and closely monitors all utility consumption to ensure optimum utility usage by all departments in the hotel and consumption of materials by tradesman of the section. Attends all Engineering meetings and other department meetings as required. Supervises the Power Plant Room, Sewage Treatment, Water production, and Chilled Water Plants. Reports for duty wearing the proper uniform and nametag at all times. Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties. Take appropriate action when discrepancies and or abnormalities are observed and inform supervisor or Management. Modify installation to minimize waste of materials and provide access for future maintenance as directed by superior(s). Ensures all utilities are provided to the required areas, of the complex without interruptions (i.e. water, electricity, and diesel oil) as instructed by management. Avoids unsightly hazards and comply with all local regulations and codes. Ensures cleanliness of all work areas and protects the surroundings when executing duties. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies operational standards and applicable laws. Maintains a good working relationship with colleagues at all times. Possesses a complete understanding of hotel policy relating to fire, hygiene, and safety and adhere to policy at all times. Possesses a complete understanding of the employee handbook and adhere to guidelines contained within. Attends training as required to ensure all codes are met. Possesses a complete understanding and adheres to hotel policy relating to fire, hygiene, and safety. To have a complete understanding of the employee handbook and adheres to guidelines contained within. Assist with other duties as requested by Management. Comply with Trade Certification requirement to perform duties in accordance with Government enforcing agencies or trade regulations. Work hours and days are flexible. |
