Job Title: Accounting Specialist
Job Duties: Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information. Check figures, postings, and documents for correct entry, mathematical accuracy, and proper codes. Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations. Operate 10-key calculators, typewriters, and copy machines to perform calculations and produce documents. Receive, record and bank - cash, checks, and vouchers. Code documents according to company procedures. Perform financial calculations, such as amounts due, interest charges, balances, discounts, equity, and principal. Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records. Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence. Access computerized financial information to answer general questions as well as those related to specific accounts. Classify, record, and summarize numerical and financial data to compile and keep financial records, using journals and ledgers or computers. Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software. Match order forms with invoices, and record the necessary information. Prepare and process payroll information. Prepare bank deposits by compiling data from cashiers, verifying and balancing receipts, and sending cash, checks, or other forms of payment to banks. Compute deductions for income and social security taxes. Calculate cost of materials, overhead, and other expenses, based on estimates, quotations and price lists. Maintain and monitor inventory records & transactions. Calculate, prepare, and issue bills, invoices, account statements, and other financial statements according to established procedures. Developing inventory analysis reports and analyzing variances. Reconciling inventory accounts to the general ledger. Collect cost information and maintain in databases. Analyze and report profit margins. Analyzing actual manufacturing costs and preparing periodic reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs. Maintaining Cost Accounting System. Making estimates of new and proposed product costs. Providing management with reports specifying and comparing factors affecting prices and profitability of products or services.

Qualification Requirements: Twelve months of experience in finance and accounting or bookkeeping required. Six months of training required. Bachelor's or Associate degree in Accounting, Finance, or similar field of occupation. Understanding of accounting principles and current financial legislation. Exceptional time management, communication, and problem solving skills. Strong math and research skills. Extensive knowledge in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint) and Sage 50 accounting software. Organized and detailed oriented. Ability to accurately and efficiently analyze data.

Comments: EMPLOYMENT BASIS & DURATION: This job opportunity is for a temporary, full-time position beginning October 1, 2019 and ending September 30, 2020. WORK HOURS: Employees hired under this announcement will work on full time employment of at least thirty-five (35) hours per week. THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE. Workers will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual fist date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. INBOUND/OUTBOUND TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE. The employer shall pay for all inbound transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract, or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. PROVISION OF TOOLS, SUPPLIES AND EQUIPMENT. Employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job duties. RECRUITMENT INFORMATION.
