| Job Duties: | Load, unload, or identify building materials, machinery, or tools, distributing them to the appropriate locations, according to project plans or specifications. Erect or dismantle scaffolding, shoring, braces, traffic barricades, ramps or other temporary structures. Clean or prepare construction sites to eliminate possible hazards. Dig ditches or trenches, backfill excavations, or compact and level earth to grade specifications, using picks, shovels, pneumatic tampers, or rakes. Mix, pour, or spread concrete, using portable cement mixers. Engaging in all forms of hard labor that is necessary for the completion of the construction project. Installing various commercial, residential and industrial systems. Ensuring that the construction projects kowtow to the set building regulations and codes. Using, cleaning and maintaining the different tools used on the construction site. Provide assistance to craft workers, such as carpenters, plasterers, or masons. Working closely with the skilled workers and stone masons. Carefully handling hoists, cranes and other equipment used to handle the construction materials. Handling some awkward and repetitive manual tasks. Arriving at the construction site early enough to commence work. Understand and comply with job-site safety standards. |
