Job Duties: 1) Cook foodstuffs according to menus, special dietary or nutritional restrictions, and numbers of portions to be served. 2) Clean and inspect galley equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation. 3) Bake bread, rolls, and other pastries. 4) Clean, cut, and cook meat, fish, and poultry. 5) Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs. 6) Apportion and serve food to facility residents, employees, or students. 7) Monitor menus and spending in order to ensure that meals are prepared economically. 8) Monitor use of government food commodities to ensure that proper procedures are followed. 9) Plan menus that are varied, nutritionally balanced, and appetizing, taking advantage of foods in season and local availability. 10) Take inventory of supplies and equipment. 11) Wash pots, pans, dishes, utensils, and other cooking equipment.

Qualification Requirements: At least 12 months experience cooking in a school cafeteria that caters to 100 to 200 patrons, honest, reliable, dependable, team worker, experience working in a Christian school environment is a plus, professional, and willing to adhere to the rules and regulations of the employer

Comments: The job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position commencing on October 1, 2019 to September 30, 2020 THREE-FOURTHS GUARANTEE: Worker will be offered employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three fourths of the workdays of the total period that begins with the first workday after the arrival of the worker at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ends on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. TRANSPORTATION AND SUBSISTENCE: If the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will provide, reimburse, or advance payment for the worker's transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for the worker's reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker's voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
