| Job Duties: | Examine tray to ensure that the contain required items. Place food serving on plates or trays according to orders or instructions. Monitor food distribution, ensuring that meals are delivered to the correct recipients and that guidelines, such as those for special diets are followed. Load trays with accessories such as eating utensils, napkins, or condiments. Clean or sterilized dishes, kitchen utensils, equipment, or facilities. Monitor food preparation for serving techniques to ensure that proper procedures are followed, remove trays and stack dishes for return to kitchen after meals are finished. Stock service stations with items, such as ice, napkins, or straws. Record amount and types of special food items served to customers. Prepare and pre-packed meals to be served at school sites. Load pre-packed meals in cambros/coolers for transportation to school sites. Place hot/cold plates in cambros/coolers to maintained proper food temperature. Serve and prepare hot/cold food meals for grade school children and staff. Maintain kitchen area and log areas of concern. Prepare kitchen area for health inspections. Perform serving, cleaning, and stocking duties in order to facilitate customers service. Wipe tables or seats with dampened and sanitized clothes or replace dirty table clothes. Maintain clean and orderly checkout areas in the school cafeteria and kitchen. Complete other general cleaning duties such as mopping floors, emptying trash bins, wiping windows and counters. Communicate with the students and school staff in a positive and professional manner utilizing appropriate customer service and interpersonal skills. Circulate through out the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten assisting students who need assistance. Participate in training sessions, meetings, and scheduled cleaning days as requested. Estimate daily and weekly needs of ordered food supplies and equipment. Place food servings on plates and trays according to portion guide, sets-up, maintains, and breaks down salad bar. Handle customers complaints. Check the temperature of the food on the serving line as often as is required. Organizes the customer service line to avoid the need for customers to stand in line more than 10 minutes. Assists in the daily cash-handling and daily deposit transactions. |

| Qualification Requirements: | Knowledge of supplies, equipment, and/or services ordering and inventory control. Ability to following verbal and written language in English language. Ability to read and write in English language. Ability to follow safety procedures. Ability to safely use cleaning equipment and supplied. Ability to provide instructions to other food or student servers. Ability to lift and manipulate heavy containers up to 25 pounds. Knowledge of food service lines set-up and food temperature requirements. Skills in cooking and preparing a variety of foods,. Knowledge of food preparation and presentation methods, techniques, and quality standards. Must obtain TB Clearance and Food Handler Certification from the CNMI Department of Public Health. Able to work on flexible hours including holidays, weekends, and evening shift. |
