Job Title: Houseworker
Job Duties: Keep private households clean and orderly. Dust and polish furniture and equipment. Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, stairways, and other areas so that health standards are met. Empty wastebaskets, empty and clean ashtrays, and transport other trash and waste to disposal areas. Sort clothing and other articles, load washing machines, and iron and fold dried items. Wash dishes and clean kitchens, cooking utensils, and silverware. Polish silver accessories and metalwork, such as fixtures and fittings. Purchase or order groceries and household supplies to keep kitchens stocked and record expenditures. Plan menus and cook and serve meals and refreshments following employer's instructions or own methods. Care for children by overseeing their activities, providing companionship, and assisting them with dressing, bathing, eating, and other needs. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualification Requirements: A HIGH SCHOOL DEGREE IS REQUIRED. COLLEGE EDUCATION IS PREFERRED. A MINIMUM 1 YEAR OF WORKRELATED EXPERIENCE IN A PRIVATE HOUSEHOLD. MUST BE HONEST, DEPENDABLE, AND TRUSTWORTHY. MUST BE HARD-WORKING, ABLE TO FOLLOW DIRECTIONS WELL AND GET ALONG WITH CHILDREN AND OTHERS. MUST BE ABLE TO ARRANGE THINGS OR ACTIONS IN A CERTAIN ORDER OR PATTERN ACCORDING TO A SPECIFIC RULE OR SET OF RULES. MUST BE ABLE TO LISTEN AND SPEAK ENGLISH FLUENTLY. MUST HAVE A VALID DRIVER’S LICENSE.

Comments: This job opportunity is a temporary, full-time position. There is 1 job opening the employer intends to fill. The employee will work from Monday to Friday. 40 hour per week, 8 hours per day. The place of employment will be at Mt. Tapochau and Middle Road Saipan. Applicants will be reasonably expected to reside in Saipan to perform the services or labor as advertised. Overtime hours will be applicable at 1.5 x the rate indicated on the JVA. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck as required by law. The employer guarantees under paragraph (f)(1) to offer each employee employment for a total number of work hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays of the total period of employment specified in the work contract, beginning with the first workday after the arrival of the employee at the place of employment or the advertised contractual first date of need, whichever is later, and ending on the expiration date specified in the work contract or in its extensions, if any. If a worker voluntarily abandons employment or is terminated for cause, the employer is not required to guarantee three-fourths of the work contract, as provided under Subsection 655.423(f). The employer will provide transportation and subsistence to the employee while traveling from the employee’s origin to the place of employment as well as the return transportation and subsistence at the conclusion of the job opportunity, as required by 20 CFR 655.423(j)(1). The employer will provide without charge or deposit charge, all tools, supplies and equipment required to perform the duties assigned, in accordance with 20 CFR 655.423(k). The employer will provide free housing on premises only.
